The Business Context

Large language models may be most familiar to you as a chatbot or a writing aid. However, every day, these models are advancing in their ability to perform mathematical and scientific reasoning. In the near future, AI could enable global access to math and science education, stay knowledgeable about cutting-edge research, and assist researchers by automating the routine aspects of calculations and coding.
But, like humans, language models are what they eat. They’re only as intelligent as the rules they know and the data they’re trained on. We’re the team that creates the data to train them on mathematics and logical reasoning.

The Project

As an Expert AI Data Trainer, your role will be similar to that of a teacher – writing and solving problems, grading answers, determining assessment criteria, treating the AI as your “student” in mathematics. Your insights, feedback, and expertise will contribute directly to the evolution of cutting-edge AI models, making your role not only intellectually stimulating but also instrumental in pushing the boundaries of AI technology. In collaboration with a team of fellow expert trainers, quality analysts, and AI researchers, you’ll be working towards our client’s goal to create a safe, accurate, widely knowledgeable, and beneficial conversation partner.

Experience

Required

Background in STEM-related field with focus in Mathematics
Deep expertise in advanced topics: Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics, Topology, Combinatorics, Number Theory, and Game Theory
Strong understanding of graduate-level curricula

Day in and day out, you will:

You’ll spend the bulk of your time creating data for a language model to improve its performance and accuracy. The tasks involved may include:
Solving problems in Math and Assessing a model’s ability to answer questions in the above fields, perhaps even determining the appropriate criteria for assessment of a given question
Your work will consistently involve reading, analyzing, and applying instructions to tasks. Additionally, your experience will apply in improving the clarity of these instructions.
You will consistently observe and correct any unethical practices, inappropriateness, or inaccuracies in the model outputs.
You will also spend some of your time attending training sessions and meetings to learn about new campaigns, stay informed on the latest developments, and share your insights and observations with leads and other team members.

Compensation

This work pays up to $30 / hour to top applicants anywhere in the world.
