A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING . . .- Operates within the Company’s Core Values, Brand, and Business Principles
- Designs, develops, and delivers training & development curricula and materials throughout the company
- Manages multiple end-to-end training, learning, and development initiatives simultaneously for various programs, stakeholders, and audiences
- Proactively identifies learning needs and applies adult learning theories to recommend and create practical, application-based learning solutions that achieve business outcomes
- Collaborates with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to identify learning objectives, design learning solutions, and develop and deliver content
- Designs and develops learning solutions that achieve desired outcomes using a variety of modalities, including but not limited to instructor-led training, eLearning, self-directed learning, and microlearning to support new market openings, staff education, enculturation, and emergency education
- Facilitates interactive workshops, discussions, and classes
- Measures learning efficacy via formative and summative assessments and Kirkpatrick methodology
- Analyzes feedback and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions for improving training programs and support organization goals
- Adapts delivery methods and content based on the audience, objectives, and feedback to maximize training effectiveness
- Manages course catalog and reporting within the LMS
- Champions accessibility standards across all learning media
- Conducts recurring content audits to ensure curricula is accurate, current, and relevant for all audiences
- Communicates learning opportunities to employees
- Actively participates in continuing education necessary to perform critical job functions and keeps up on industry trends, standards, and changes
- Supports and follows all company, department, safety, security, and sustainability policies and programs
- Provides excellent customer service
- Provides and role models attitude of service to staff and guests
- Reports to Director of Training & Development
THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF . . .- Minimum 3 years of experience in applying instructional design and adult learning principles to design, develop, and deliver training and learning solutions
- Minimum 3 years of experience using authoring tools and learning management systems to develop and deliver online content
- Minimum 3 years of experience with instructor-led training and facilitation practices for engaging with large and small groups of employees
- Strong presentation skills: synchronous, asynchronous, in-person, virtual, and hybrid
- Ability to use a variety of assessment methods to evaluate development needs
- Ability to take information from multiple sources, synthesize and create effective learning solutions
- Experience managing end-to-end learning projects
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to own and drive project schedules and milestones from start to finish
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 and ability to apply knowledge in content development
- Ability to convey complex information and procedures in a way that is easily understood by learners of varying skill and education levels
- Must have intermediate computer skills including MS Office or higher
- Ability to edit video, audio, and graphics with an appreciation for visual impact and quality
- Ability to take initiative and navigate ambiguity
- Must possess an attitude of service to others
- Must be accurate and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently with diverse guests, employees, and leadership
