NAVWAR 8.0 is responsible for oversight and successful execution of all corporate operations related activities for NAVWAR in support of Navy-wide Information Dominance initiatives. Due to reorganization along functional lines, this program office is consolidating and contracting for support across several 8.0 functional areas. This includes Corporate Operations, Strategic Management, Business Planning, Workforce Management, Military Management, Process Improvement, and Corporate Communications.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the Human Resources Analyst will provide direct support to the Director of Civilian Human Resources (DCHR) on the NAVWAR 8.0 Corporate Operations Support Services (COSS) contract. The primary responsibilities include data management, analytics, dashboarding, and coordinating HR functional areas, such as data calls, policy reviews, policy updates, document writing and review, and content quality assurance. This position is located in San Diego, CA.
What You'll Do
- Develop and implement tracking tools for civilian and military personnel human resource
and budget issues. - Analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make recommendations on budget matters.
- Support principal decision processes by initiating, maintaining, modifying, and developing databases
and information sources to perform programmatic analysis, prioritization, and evaluation. - Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers.
- Maintain and update data sets as needed, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
- Identify and rectify data quality issues.
- Document data processes, workflows, and analysis procedures.
- Collect and enter data into databases/tools with a high level of accuracy.
- Ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist in managing databases/tools, including data cleaning, organization, and maintenance tasks.
- Learn and implement best practices for database/tool management.
- Track and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the project.
- Collaborate with team members to understand metric requirements and goals
- Bid and proposal support if requested.
- Other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required..
- One - Two (1-2) years of experience creating dashboards and reports that effectively communicate insights.
- Strong writing, data management, and computer skills, including MS Suite of Tools, Power Apps,
Power BI, and SharePoint. - Proficiency with MS PowerPoint (building and altering briefs) and MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, vlookups).
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, including editing, organizing, changing, creating, and exporting PDF
documents. - Understanding of data analysis techniques, data cleansing, and data transformation processes.
- Ability to automate repetitive tasks to streamline data analysis processes.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to the team's success.
- Familiarity with statistical concepts and methods.
- Understanding of best practices in data visualization and presentation.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.
- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
- The ability to lift items that may weigh up to 50 pounds.
- ~10% travel required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Desired Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience providing data analysis support (building dashboards, performing trend
analysis, etc.). - Demonstrated experience in configuration changes and performing other back-end activities within
Tableau and/or Microsoft Power BI. - Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau for creating interactive and insightful visualizations.
INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $73,000 – $83,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
