The Position:
We are currently seeking a
Manager, Ad Sales Activation - West & North to play an integral role in the Diamond Sports Group ad sales team. Leading all aspects of account management across the
Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, and Detroit markets, this role will be critical to the growth of revenue and new business development in their region.
Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Ad Sales, this role leads all efforts of the account management process across Local and National business. This includes, but not limited to, plan-building, presentation creation, account management, and post-sales executions. This role will be critical to ensure that sales leaders and account executives can focus their efforts on driving demand for the Diamond Sports Group properties within their respective region. This role will lead a team of coordinators to help achieve revenue targets through sponsorship, linear, and streaming platforms.
This position will interface and collaborate with multiple levels of sales management, both at the corporate level and at the regional level, be able to challenge and motivate a staff of coordinators and account managers and have a deep understanding of the changing sports media landscape.

The Game Plan (What you will do):
- Lead a team of Sales Coordinators that manage all aspects of the sales cycle across your designated region.
- Coordinate with regions on the execution of multi-platform sponsorships across all programming
- Work with market-based Director of Sales and Director, National Sales & Partnerships across Local and National accounts
- Support all aspects of order entry, campaign management, and other account management to allow Account Executives to renew and develop new business
- Manage sponsorship elements, availability, and communication to all parties to maximize revenue opportunity
- Create a pricing and planning system for the region that works closely with National Planning
- Create go-to-market presentation material to use in-market, working closely with Director, Ad Sales Marketing
- Create media planning process and strategy for respective region and teams
- Assist in inventory management across respective region
- Assist in entertainment of national advertisers and partners at games and events.
- Respond to ad hoc sales requests from ad sales leadership, finance, ad sales partners and more
The Stats (What to bring):
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work as a member of a team while simultaneously leading a team
- 5+ Years of Experience in Sports, Sports Media, and Planning and/or Ad Sales Marketing
- Prior experience in creating multi-platform media plans and/or the creation of ad sales presentations.
- Strong understanding of linear, digital, and multi-platform ad sales approach.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop and maintain working relationships internally and externally.
- Knowledge of ratings analysis, inventory management, and effective inventory pricing.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and willingness to learn other proprietary software.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Flexibility to travel as needed and work evenings or weekends for client meetings, industry events, or other business-related activities
- Proficiency in Wide Orbit suite of products preferred.
- Prior experience in local sports media landscape preferred.
The base salary compensation range for this role is $110,000 - $115,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, sick leave, vacation time, personal time, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
