We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team. This role involves managing essential accounting functions, ensuring financial records are accurate and comply with regulations. The Staff Accountant will handle journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting, playing a crucial role in our month-end and year-end close processes.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post accurate journal entries, maintain and reconcile the general ledger, as well as ensure all financial transactions are recorded appropriately.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Generate and distribute financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow analyses.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Support all activities related to the month-end and year-end close, including accruals and variance analysis.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, analyzing actual financial performance against projections.
- Prepare audit schedules and work closely with internal and external auditors during financial audits, ensuring efficient and effective audit processes.
- Maintain compliance with financial policies and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.
- Expert understanding of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
- Experience utilizing NetSuite and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
