Junior Designer - Entry Level
As a Junior Designer at Flor Landscaping, you will support the design team in creating innovative, functional, and visually appealing outdoor spaces. Key Responsibilities
Design Support
Assist in creating landscape design concepts, drawings, and 3D renderings using VizTerra and other design tools.
Collaborate with senior designers and project managers to develop design solutions that meet client needs and align with project budgets.
Prepare site plans, planting layouts, and hardscape designs under the guidance of senior team members.
Make revisions to designs based on client feedback and team input.
Client and Project Interaction
Participate in site visits to gather measurements, photos, and design inspiration.
Assist with preparing presentations and design proposals for clients.
Communicate design ideas clearly through sketches, visuals, and written explanations.
Collaboration and Learning
Work closely with the construction and estimating teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.
Research plants, materials, and new design trends to support project development.
Attend team meetings and actively participate in brainstorming sessions.
Administrative Support
Organize and maintain design files, drawings, and project documentation.
Assist in preparing and organizing materials for client presentations and internal reviews.
Update project tracking systems and timelines as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
Passion for landscaping and outdoor design.
Basic knowledge of landscape design principles, including plant selection and hardscaping.
Proficiency in VizTerra or willingness to learn the software (training provided).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and accept constructive feedback.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in landscape design, architecture, or related fields preferred.
No prior experience is necessary, but internships or related coursework is a plus.
